Primary 2 Tuesday 28th April

Good  morning everyone!

Hope you are all well rested and ready for another day! We would like to start with some numeracy. Some of you will remember this from last term.

Numeracy Numbers and Rounding.

Start by counting forward and back in tens to 100

Here is a general rule for you to follow on Rounding to the nearest ten.

If a number ends in 0,1,2,3,4 round down to the nearest ten

If a number ends with a 5,6,7,8,9 round up to the next ten.

For example 33 would round down to 30

38 would round up to 40.

Now try Rounding these to the nearest ten.

13, 32, 41, 52, 58, 68, 65, 99, 7, 18

Next: Write down the ages of people in your house (you can include pets or other family members!).

Now see if you can Round each of these to the nearest ten.

Can you add all of your answers together counting in tens?

Literacy

Read a book or story online.

Can you recall what happened in the story? Tell someone at home about your story to help you remember.
