Tuesday 12th May - Good Morning Primary 7

Good morning Primary 7 – I hope you are all well today – we had fun playing bingo yesterday on our class meeting on Teams – you are welcome to join us for a quiz on Friday at 11:30.

Numeracy –  Have a look at the Number of the day – https://mathsstarters.net/numoftheday

Sumdog competition & Number Talks for today –

Clic Maths – week 1 – choose the level you would like to do – challenge yourself          CLIC Week 1

Literacy – Grammar

The incorrect use of the past tense is one of favourite mistakes –  I seen the Queen yesterday and I done really well are still on the banned list – even in lockdown! Here is a game to guess the correct tense followed by sentences to correct – write them out in your jotter with the date and title underlined – remember perfect presentation – write the sentence incorrectly followed by the corrected one – underline or write the corrected word in colour so you can see the difference.

Week 6 Grammar -irregular-past-tense-verbs

Week 6 – irregular-past

This poem was written on a tube station board in London and the message in there really sums up how lots of people are feeling – why does this poem work? What does the author use to make it appealing – copy it out in your best handwriting and identify the nouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs – what do you notice?

HWB – Healthy Me!

We’ve missed out on our visit from WLDAS this year to educate us all about the health risks of smoking. Here is a short clip to watchfacts  & a powerpoint slide to show the  dangers of tobacco. Remember this is about learning the facts not blaming or judging anyone of doing wrong.
