PRIMARY 5/4, Thursday 21st May

Good Morning Primary 5/4,

Hope you are all well this morning!  Wasn’t the weather brilliant yesterday?  It would be good if it could continue like that for a few days, wouldn’t it?  Mr Lewis has organised a Class Meeting on Teams at 2.45pm today, so please try to join that, if you can.

Here is an overview of your suggested learning activities this morning:

Health and Wellbeing

Why not start the morning with a workout from Joe Wicks?

Or, you could try this Challenge (which I think you will like)

Have you tried the latest School Challenge? (re-create the word ‘Kind’ or ‘Kindness’ using objects in your home) I’ll share mine with you later.

You could try some of the suggested activities which link with the song we are all listening to this week at KPS –

What a wonderful world activities

Here is another lovely suggestion you could begin this week and continue next week –

Copy this image into your jotter or onto paper.  It’s a ‘Feelings Cloud – a Mental Health Check-In’.  Using the key on the Feelings Chart (posted below the cloud), colour a raindrop each day to show how you are feeling.  Inside the cloud you could add some vocabulary to explain your feelings:

Maths and Numeracy

I would like you to revise addition as it’s always good to get some practise of things we can already do. I will add a mild, spicy and hot version in Teams.
Literacy
Use what you have learned about bees and their importance in our world to write an Explanation.  I will add both the Explanation Writing example and layout.
or
Procedure Writing:  Write a procedure for ‘How to make an amazing ice-cream sundae’.  Remember your imperative (bossy) verbs.  You can add an illustration and label this appropriately too.
You can always continue to work on your Spelling activities too.
Music
Why not try this today:

Have a super morning, Primary 5/4, and I will post more suggestions before lunchtime.
