This is a short clip about the tallest mountain in the UK that lies Under the Sea. It lies deep in the water off the coast of Scotland. You can see some of the different jobs scientists do to learn about the mountain and the samples they have found and brought back to the land.

Design and Build Scientists need very specialised equipment and vehicles to study things deep underwater. This afternoon design and build your own vehicle that could go underwater. You could use lego or duplo or meccano or any other construction materials such as cardboard or paper that you have at home. Or if you wish, you can draw and label your design on paper and give it some amazing colour! Think of all the special features you could add to make an amazing underwater vehicle!
