Music for Summer

Good Morning!

Often a piece of music can make us think of something or even remind us of a specific time.  We have been thinking about our favourite ‘summer’ music and we will share that with you over the next week.

What music or song makes you think of summer?  Maybe every time you hear it you are reminded of last summer or another summer?  Or perhaps you have a special memory which comes to mind the minute you hear that music?  If you cannot think of any, discuss this with your family. Maybe they will have some suggestions or will share their thoughts?

You can choose how to present this – maybe some writing or a poster or some artwork?  Maybe a video or a poem?  Or just focus on listening to the music and thinking about it?  It’s up to you.

Here are some suggestions you could include.

We have chosen six songs/pieces of music each that remind us of ‘Summer’….a bit like a Middle Area Playlist.  For the next six days, we will share one from each of us.  Hopefully you will hear something new that you  like too.  Music can be so powerful, don’t you agree?
