Good Morning Primary 7 -22nd April
Happy Earth Day (more of that this afternoon)– Let’s start the day with some Health and Wellbeing – first of all I would like you to do a 30 minute workout – why not try Joe Wicks at 9 – or one of the workouts he has done before – there are so many different ones around at the moment.
HWB – wellbeing wheel – our focus has been on how we feel safe, healthy, achieving, nurtured, active, respected, responsible and included in school, looking at 2 of these a term – can you remember the focus for term 4? (Active and Healthy) I’ve attached a copy of a blank wheel and thought it might be a good idea if you started adding to your own wheel at home – you can draw your own one out on a bigger piece of paper if you want or do it as a family – it might be nice to see this once lockdown has been lifted and how it is different to your school one.
Enjoy your break – are you eating a healthy snack? We’ll be looking at making some healthy food choices this term – what a great opportunity to practice those skills in the kitchen at home instead of with me in school!
Writing – watch this clip of our National poet reading her latest poem – I found it very inspirational – now I’d like you be inspired to write a poem about our current situation? It can be any style of poem and remember – it doesn’t need to rhyme AND take a new line for each new part, miss a line between verses and a capital letter at the start of each line. I’d love us to make a collection of these poems and show our appreciation to essential workers around the country.
Leave a comment on the blog today – check out Mrs Marshall’s challenges or Mrs Piper or leave a comment here – how many will we get? Well done Jayden for doing this yesterday – you read my mind!
Finally this morning – have a go at Number Talks – day 3!
