Mrs Marshall calling..............day 14
Good morning everyone – I hope you are all well?
As we know, during this time when we are at home, it is important to continue with our learning and to build on all the work we have been doing since the start of this session.
It is also very important to keep active, and I know Mrs Ferguson has been posting a whole range of activities for you to try. I have been trying some of them too. I particularly enjoyed doing the PE 2.6 Challenges she put on the BLOG yesterday – have you had a go yet? Wonder if you are better than me
It is also very important that you fit in some relaxation time – time where you manage to clear your mind and think about nothing. This is much harder than it sounds and it takes a bit of practice to get it right. Those of you who come to my groups will have taken part in some of the relaxation activities. Here is one to try today –
find a space where you can sit still and close your eyes – take a few deep breaths and try to listen to all the noises that are going on around you. How many noises can you hear? people talking, doors opening and closing, washing machine working…………..keep your eyes closed and continue to breath – breath in for a count of 2 and out for a count of 4…….nice and s l o w l y. Try and do this little exercise at least once a day for 5 minutes – it will get easier and you will have a more relaxed brain. You could ask mum to join in with you – I’m sure she would enjoy it too.
We all need to look after our brains – keeping them active but also allowing them some calm time – have a go. Let me know how you get on .
