It's Wednesday Primary 4
Good morning Primary 4. How are you this morning? We are starting with spelling. I have attached the spelling grid for you to choose some tasks and use the words from your word wall.
After spelling, I would like you to try and complete the book review I have attached about whatever book you are reading just now. If you are feeling adventurous, could you also complete a book review but base it on the book you would like to write. Think about the characters, the setting and the plot for a book where you would be the author and illustrator. It might even inspire you to write it!
While thinking about reading, Mrs Ramsay thought it would be a good idea to have a reading challenge linked to our school values. If you can, could you send a photo or just post about how you are showing reading kindness, reading perseverance and reading success!
After reading, is maths problem solving. Do you remember the dice game we played in class where you had a partner and each had to roll the dice 3 times and add the numbers together, the highest number was the winner. Well this problem is similar but you can add, subtract or multiply. If you are playing the mild version, go for 2 digit numbers, spicy is 3 digit and hot is at least 4 digit numbers. You can find the problem on the NRich website https://nrich.maths.org/10093
After playing the game for problem solving, you can either play the sumdog maths challenge if you want more maths or if you want more literacy, watch newsround and create an illustration of the news stories Today.
