Primary 3

Bonjour!

We hope you have all had a good sleep and are ready to start a new day of learning! Can you believe it is Thursday already?

Here are your tasks for today:

Literacy

Could you all access Sumdog – Spelling – Tasks and complete the spelling work assigned at the start of this week. If you have already completed this, well done, you can still practise on the spelling games this morning.

Spelling challenge – How many words can you make from ‘MARVELLOUS MINIBEASTS’?

e.g. man, tan, ran, van,

Count how many you have listed and let us know.

Maths

Today we are going to look at Information Handling. Information Handling is an important skill as it helps you to organise and interpret data. You can then apply these skills to your own data. Data is another word for facts/information. Complete a selection of the following sheets:

Data Handling

Once you have been on a Bug Hunt (in your garden or on a walk) you will need to share what you found. It would be a good idea to create a tally of the different species you find and then use this information from your tally chart to create a bar graph or a pictogram.

This lesson can carry on over a couple of days as there are many pieces of work to choose from. Take your time and remember to have fun!

Word of the Day:  entomologist – An entomologist is a scientist who studies insects.

Enjoy your morning boys & girls!
