Happy Friday P4
Happy May Primary 4! Did you know that today is Mrs Marshall’s last day as a teacher at KPS? She has been a teacher at Knightsridge for a very long time and she is retiring today. She said she will come back to school when we all get back so we’ll all get to see her again and say “Happy Retirement!”
This morning we are starting with number talks. The mild question is 2 x 12. The spicy question is 4 x 12. The hot question is 8 x 12 and the extra hot question is 16 x 12. Remember show your strategies for finding the answer. Try to find as many strategies as you can.
After number talks is free writing. As it is the 1st May, can you get that into your story or maybe you are looking forward to Star Wars day on Monday and want to write about a sci-fi story. Why is Monday called Star Wars Day?
Following free writing is reflections. As usual, split your page into 4. Reflect on what you have been doing in literacy, maths and other areas this week. The 4th box is what skills you have used this week. Remember it doesn’t have to be only about things you have been doing from Teams. Think about perfect presentation, make sure you are writing in sentences with capital letters and full stops! Illustrate your reflections if you would like to.
To finish off the morning, play some maths games with your family. Can you beat them at buzz? If you would prefer, why not try a Fischy music assembly. If you are missing some of the songs from assemblies, why not teach them to your family.
