Primary 5 - Wednesday 13th May

Good morning Primary 5

Numeracy

It is National Numeracy Day! I have put an activity on Teams and sent it by email. It is a timeline activity. Draw the timeline shown and enter the dates they have given you then enter more with significant things that have happened during that time. You may have to do some research. Can you do your own timeline too? Start with when you were born then add things like when you started school, when a sibling was born etc.

Literacy

Have a look at the picture and read the story starter. I wonder what magic Astrid holds in her hands? Can you do the question time and sentence challenge activities in your jotters please.

Wellbeing Wednesday  This week our focus is ‘Keep Learning’.  It’s so important that we try to keep learning whilst things are different for everyone.  Learning new skills is a great way to keep healthy in many different ways as it can give you more confidence, improve your mood and how you feel and give you something new to focus on.  What new skills have you learned recently?  You’ve maybe learned new skills in drawing?  Or some new words in a different language?  Maybe you have learned to do something around the house?  Perhaps you have improved your skills in a sport or dance?  We would love to hear what you have done!  Here is a link to a new skill you might like to try?  https://www.scottish-orienteering.org/lets-get-started-orienteering/

Teams Meeting

Our meeting has been changed to 10am. I have changed it so that the children in the hub can join us too. I hope lots of you will join in, see you then!
