Happy Wednesday P4. Remember our Teams meeting this afternoon at 2pm. We are starting with spelling this morning. If you have chalk and can go outside, why not try to write your spelling words in fancy writing outside. If not, choose something from the spelling grid.
Today is National Numeracy Day! We all like maths so I’ve put plenty on the timetable for today. To start with, try out this jungle maths problem.
Following that, try some problem solving. The mild problem is called eggs in a basket. It is about trying an answer and then checking.
If you want a spicy or hot challenge, try Zios and Zepts. It is similar to the eggs but you have to work out how many aliens of each kind there are. Again it is guess, check and improve. https://nrich.maths.org/1005/note
Finish off the morning with either mathletics or if you have had enough numeracy then watch newsround. Remember to take bullet point notes as you watch.
