Good Morning Primary 3

Good Morning Everyone!
We hope you managed to enjoy some of the sunshine and family time during the long weekend. This week is Mental Health Awareness Week 2020. The theme this year is Kindness. I wonder what that links with?…. Our school values of course!  Mrs Kennedy would like you to listen to the words and see if you can join in! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-T6aaRV9HY&feature=youtu.be

Literacy:

-This morning can you define and draw these Word Boost words. Are they a noun, a verb or an adjective? The words are: spine, ocean, distant, cooperate, astonished and separate. Challenge: Create a paragraph which includes all the words – Don’t forget punctuation and it must make sense!

-Log onto Sumdog Spelling to access your weekly spelling list.

-E.R.I.C ( Everyone Reading In Class ) time is important to practice your reading skills. You might like to find a comfy spot and read independently or read aloud to a member of your household. Remember don’t read like a robot – fluency and expression are very important.

Numeracy:

-Over the coming weeks we will be focusing on Fractions. Today is a little bit of revision. If you need help to get started you can contact your teacher for help or have a look at the Bitesize website for videos and games. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/z3rbg82

Home Learning Numeracy Tuesday 19th May

-There is also the Sumdog West Lothian Maths Contest running this week  – Why not have a go when you are logged on to complete your Spelling tasks?

-Finally, there is a fantastic opportunity to meet some unusual invertebrates at the Glasgow Science Centre at 10am this morning. Don’t worry if you can’t make it at 10am, it should be available to watch on Youtube and enjoy at your leisure.

Have a great morning!
