Afternoon Activities

Getting it right for every child: understanding wellbeing leaflet ...

Good afternoon Primary 3!

We are focussing on being Active and Healthy which are both important when we look at our Wellbeing Indicators above!

Another way we can stay healthy, as well as keeping active is by eating a healthy diet! Study the Eatwell Guide and use your knowledge to plan your very own healthy meal. Perhaps you could even make this with an adult during the week?

Have you managed to take part in any of the activities for Sports Day yet? Remember you can share your efforts with us via our Twitter page @KnightsridgePr1 – Have a look and see if you can spot any of your school friends taking part too!

Science

Yesterday you would have learned that reproduction is one of the reasons that plants are alive, but how is this made possible?

Read this Fact sheet for information about ‘The Pollination Process’.

Now, you have a choice of observing outdoors in your garden and reporting on any insects you think might be pollinating your plants, you could take photos to share with us!

OR

You could research an insect that pollinates plants and write about the journey it makes. You could write a non-fiction explanation or a fictional story, for example:

The Adventures of a Bumble Bee

The Mysterious Moth…

We always love to see your creative work so send us an email if you would like to!

Enjoy the rest of your day,

Miss Cowan & Miss Sandy
