Good morning and happy Friday to you all! We are going to start with Free writing today. We have loved reading all of your stories over the past few weeks, so keep them coming! Here is a little idea for you, if you need it:

Write an acrostic poem using your own name. For each letter of your name, pick a word of something you like. Here is my example:

Decorate your poem with all of the things you have included in it.

This week you have been learning a lot about music and experimenting with different sounds. Here is an online keyboard (if you have one at home- please use that!)

https://www.onlinepianist.com/virtual-piano

Can you try and play the following music:

If a letter has a # after it, for example C# – this means C sharp. When you see this note you must press the black key above the letter on the keyboard to hit the correct note. Practise makes perfect, give it a go and see how you do!

It will be easier for you to read and play if you write this down on a piece of paper and keep it beside you whilst you practise.

World of Work:

Do you have any questions you would like to ask a musician/music producer? Luckily we have one at hand to answer them for you!

(Hint: Think about about what skills are required.)

Numeracy

The closest connection between music and maths is that they both use patterns. Music has repeated choruses whereas mathematic patterns are used to explain the unknown!

Can you copy and complete the patterns to build on both of these skills!

This game will support sequencing too, pick a level to challenge  yourself:

Why not finish off your school day with a fun PE activity that Mrs Ferguson has shared with us.
