Good Morning Primary 2!
Good Morning!
We hope you have all had a good weekend. It’s Monday again and this is the start of the last week of term!
Literacy
We have a game for you to try this morning – you can play it together with others in your house or try it on your own
Storytime – listen to and read along to Hairy Maclary

The rhyming words in this story help us to remember the descriptions of each dog. How many rhyming words can you remember?
What rhymed with…
Maclary?
Morse?
Potts?
Maclay?
Numeracy
This week there is another sumdog competition running. We would like as many of you to enter as possible – you can play on sumdog at any time.
Play the dice game – roll 2 dice (or roll the same dice 2 times) and add the numbers together. Play against someone to see who can add up the quickest. If you don’t have a dice, you could ask someone to give you the numbers or write numbers 1-6 twice on small pieces of paper (12 pieces in total), turn them over and choose 2 at random to add.
Thinking question…why would you make 2 sets of numbers?
Try this number challenge, it uses addition and subtraction skills. You can only use each number from 1-6 once in each triangle. You might have to spend a little bit of time thinking about the puzzle but give it a go, even if you just try one or two.
