Primary 6/5 week roundup

Here is a snap shot of our week’s learning.

Money Week       ££

This week in Primary 6/5 we have been learning about different aspects of Money.

     In Numeracy  we  learned :

• money vocabulary
• how banks work
• how to read and understand a bank statement
• what a budget is
• to plan a party budget with a money limit
• using a calculator to add and subtract money with a decimal point
• to calculate profit and loss

In Literacy we wrote an autumn themed fictional narrative and linked out numeracy learning to our writing.   We also wrote an acrostic poem about autumn using as much description as possible.

 

In Health & Wellbeing we discussed how our body sensations are affected by our emotions.  We also identified who our One Trusted adult is in school and created a bunny from our hand outline to display our trusted adult.
